[Fakebit] Driving Force

By Mortistar on July 1, 2018 11:54 pm

After a few weeks of a disgusting bout of producers, I am back with ideas!...in the last few hours before the deadline. Sorry my dudes, another short one sad Still managed to polish a 55 second vgm-styled loop tho. I am a bit worried I accidentally stole the progression for the second half of the loop, please let me know if you recognize it. I'm certain that it all didn't just appear in my head spontaneously. Anyways, another week done, let me know what you thought in the comments, and...as always, thanks for listening ;D

Great progression, very uplifting smile

I reckon that's a common thing in chiptune, there's only so much you can do with all these notes. This is pretty solid though, I can tell you a bunch of things it can fit into, but not where it might be from.

Neat li'l tune, Mortistar! Liking that prolonged diminished (is it?) arpeggiation?

Hmm, that progression does remind me of something, but can't put my finger on it. And even then, wouldn't worry! There's only so much progressions out there, it's about what you do with them in combination with melody, rhythm, timbre, etc. Though now that you've asked the question, damn I need to know. Gut feeling tells ff6 or so.

Yeah, 12 notes, and who needs all of them? Fun piece.
